NEW DELHI: Honor's parent company Huawei is soon to launch its Mate 10 pro phablet with extended display. But it looks like Honor too is working on a budget smartphone with the similar extended display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

Tipped as Honor 7X, the smartphone has popped up on a Chinese regulatory website, Tenaa. The listing not only shows the image of the upcoming smartphone from the front and back, but also reveals the specifications.

It has been rumoured that the smartphone will sport a 6-inch (2160x1080 pixels) 18:9 screen and will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It is likely to run on a Kirin processor, clubbed with 4GB RAM. The Tenaa listing also shows the smartphone to sport dual rear cameras, reports Droid Holic website. Rumours indicate the device to feature a 16MP and a 2MP depth camera at the back, alongside an 8MP front-facing camera.

On the storage front, the Honor 7X is supposed to include 64GB inbuilt storage along with a microSD card support. It is said to be backed by a 3240mAh battery. It could be arriving on its home turf, China before anywhere else and may be priced at around $270 in Asia.

Honor last week launched its Honor 9i smartphone in India priced at Rs 17,999. The smartphone follows this year's trend and sports a near bezel-less display, something similar to what the aforementioned Tenaa listing shows.

The smartphone comes in three colours -- Prestige Gold, Aurora Blue and Graphite Black. The smartphone will exclusively be available on Flipkart starting October 14.

Some of its key specifications include 5.9-inch Full View FHD+ display, Kirin 659 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage, 13MP+2MP front facing cameras, 16MP+2MP rear cameras and 3340mAh battery. At the launch event, Honor also unveiled a new addition to its accessories portfolio -- a 10,000mAh Quick Charge Power Bank.
