NEW DELHI: Apple has released a new version of its iTunes that brings the platform to version number 12.6.3. The new version brings the ability to download apps from the App Store along with ringtones from iTunes, reports Macrumours.

It is worth mentioning that Apple introduced its iTunes 12.7 last month in which it removed the ability for users to access apps from the App Store. This resulted in the apps and ringtones only limited to iOS devices.

It has been mentioned that Apple is making the version 12.6.3 available as "certain business partners might still need to use iTunes to install apps." However, the ability to download is available for everyone.

"If you've already installed a newer version of iTunes, you can download this version of iTunes on your Mac, PC 32-bit or PC 64-bit and run the installer. After installation is complete, you can continue to deploy apps with iTunes. You won't be prompted to download new versions of iTunes after you install this version," says the dedicated support page.

On a related note, Apple recently revealed some new emojis for the iPhone and iPad users. The new emojis will be coming as a part of iOS 11.1.

"The new emoji are designed to reveal every detail and adapted from approved characters in Unicode 10. iOS 11.1 will also include characters announced on World Emoji Day like Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person, Breastfeeding, Zombie, Person in Lotus Position and new food items such as Sandwich and Coconut. Also included in the update is the Love-You Gesture, designed after the "I love you" hand sign in American Sign Language," said Apple newsroom website.

Apple has not yet revealed when it will be releasing the consumer version of iOS 11.1 to the compatible iPhone and ipad models, or when will these be coming to the macOS or watchOS. However, the company revealed that the new emojis will come in the upcoming developer and public beta of iOS 11.1 next week.
