Asus Flip C101 launched: The thinnest and lightest flippable Chromebook from the company

Asus a popular provider of PCs has yet again announced a new Chromebook for consumers. Dubbed as the Flip C101, it is basically a more compact and lightweight variant of the C302 model which was unveiled earlier during CES 2017.

Carrying on the legacy of slim and light form factor Asus Flip C101comes with an innovative 360-degree hinge and a 178 degree wide viewing angles. The laptop further sports durable metal finish and features diamond-cut highlights for an extra touch of luxury. "At just 15.6mm thin and weighing a mere 1.9 lbs, you can take Asus Chromebook Flip C101 with you anywhere," says the company. Apart from the polished design Chromebook Flip C101 is packed to the brim with innovative features. The 2-in-1 laptop comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 resolution. The 360-degree display comes with 10 multi-touch support as well. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by a Rockchip RK3399 Quad-Core 2.0 GHz processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 16GB internal flash storage. The Rockchip processor has a dual-core Cortex A72 and a quad-core Cortex A53, and according to Asus, the processor will also be accompanied by a Mali T860 MP4 GPU. "The chip delivers a significant leap in processing power compared to its predecessors, giving you all the performance you need for any application," the company notes on its website. The Asus Chromebook Flip C101 runs on Google's latest Chome OS operating system for Chromebooks but also has support for Android app. Further, Asus claims that the laptop comes with an efficient battery that lasts up to 10 hours and even more in some cases, depending on the workload.
