PS4 and PS4 Pro to receive MASSIVE new 5.0 update and Sony wants YOU to beta test it
PS4’s latest firmware 5.0 update is tipped to be so huge that Sony is looking to give it a beta test run before it rolls out.

From today, PS4 owners in North America and Europe have the chance to test some of the console’s next big features by signing up to become a beta tester.

The next update looks to be the next significant update to the console since February, when beta testers got to play with update 4.5 which added external HDD support, a Boost Mode, custom wallpapers and other extras.

Testing begins at the beginning of August, so you don’t have too long to sign up.

All you have to do to take part is put in your PSN ID to a sign-up box here and you’re all set, Sony will let you know if you got a place via email.

Gamers aren’t guaranteed a spot on the beta team, but if you’re so inclined you can have your name put up for any future update testing, so it won’t be your last chance.
